  • Job/Work Experience: Doug Gansler for MD Governor (Intern), GreatestFan (Intern/Outreach Ambassador)
  • Volunteer/Community service: Very little besides what I did through NHS...
  • Summer Activities: CTY, see above Job/Work Experience
  • Essays: Common App (9/10) It was pretty straightforward, but it was basically an extended metaphor about fixing a faucet. Princeton Supplement (8/10) Slightly self-deprecating and much of it was actually about other people. I used the significant quote prompt.
  • Teacher Recommendations: Calculus teacher (8/10) Biology Teacher (9/10)
  • Counselor Rec: (10/10) probably, she's extremely nice and I'm in her first graduating class so I think she really wants to get us into places
  • Interview: (10/10) was very chill, interviewer gave me a bro-hug and then went to perform neurosurgery

Other
  • Applied for Financial Aid?: Yes
  • Intended Major: Economics
  • State (if domestic applicant): MD
  • School Type: Public
  • Race(s) (AI/AN, Asian, AA, NH/PI, White, not reported): Asian (Chinese)
  • Gender: M
  • Income Bracket: approx 150,000
  • Hooks/tips (URM, athlete, legacy, 1st gen, etc.): None

Reflection
  • Strengths: Test scores/transcript
  • Weaknesses: Summer activities
  • Why you think you were accepted/deferred/rejected: I've heard Princeton is very traditional in its admissions in that it emphasizes academic rigor and achievement over subjective extracurricular activities.
  • Where else were you accepted/deferred/rejected: Didn't apply anywhere else
  • Where else are you applying for RD: Harvard and Yale
